It is estimated over a million people pass through the gates of Museum gardens every year, some to visit the garden itself with its romantic gothic ruins and playful squirrels. Others pass through on their way to work, or heading towards the museum that lies within the grounds.
When the weather permits, the gardens become very busy with visitors enjoying a picnic or ice cream in the sun. The beautiful botanical garden is located close to the Minster and the Railway Museum and hosts an array of plant species, wildlife and historical features. Finding the park is easy, it is centrally located and well sign-posted and also free to enjoy from dusk until dawn.
